When we talk about movies, we are not just talking about life

Some people doubted this claim that Indian films dumped the three streets of Chinese films. But I feel that there is no doubt that this is basically the truth.

The English name of "Dad 102 Years Old" is more straightforward than the Chinese translation, "102 not out", which is presented with a clear attitude.

The movie's approach is quite interesting. It is about 102-year-old dad Dartley, and 75-year-old son Babu first appeared in the scene. Babu seems to be very old, his life is stereotyped, boring and monotonous. As an audience, I am a little puzzled: Is this what you want to show us?

But then, the main character appeared on the screen arrogantly. This old Dartley man also carried a Chinese old man with a rose in his hand, of course it was printed on cardboard.

Then the audience understood what he was going to do-usually the child sent his parents to the nursing home, where the old man despised his son and wanted to send his son to the nursing home. He broke the Guinness World Record set by the Chinese old man with all his heart and became the whole world. The oldest person in the world.

Dad loves to travel around the world and see all kinds of new things. But his son, Babu, is the kind of person who can’t pull out shit for 3 months after changing a bathroom floor tile. He can’t stand the changes in the environment at all. Dad’s decision is simply Let him collapse. Of course he didn't want to go, so he had to cooperate with his father to pass a series of tests and test questions.

As the plot advances, the audience slowly discovers that these tests are not Dartley's unreasonable making troubles, but his diligent attempts to get his son out of his sluggish life through various methods.

The life of Babu's stagnant water has gradually caused some waves, and he has changed unconsciously.

Of course, things were not so satisfactory. There were conflicts, obstacles, and reversals.

The most important reason why I am applauded for Indian movies is their "strength" and their brushwork is more "ruthless", even in some mainstream commercial films that sell well.

Unlike our domestic movies, many of them are understatements, and the feeling of painlessness is very uncomfortable.

The "strength" of Indian movies is manifested in many aspects, such as portraying social class differences and showing some strong emotional conflicts.

For example, this movie explores the relationship between father and son. When it shows the contradiction between Babu and his son, it tells how parents treat their children wholeheartedly, and how ungrateful and ungrateful children grow up. It must do its best to make you hate. Teeth itching makes you feel a kind of heart-wrenching pain.

Even the humor is very dynamic, and a random line is also very dynamic. For example, in this movie, Dartley wants to break the world record, and his son Bab said grumpily: "You must succeed, and no one can break your record until the end of the world." Indians speak very fast. In many cases, it still makes people feel inexplicably funny.

Of course, Indian movies also have a lot of inspiration and warmth in the face of suffering. It is worth noting that the reason why they feel inspired and tender enough is because they speak hard and express hardship very vigorously.

Of course, this movie is also warm enough. This fashionable dad has traveled everywhere in his life, but at the end of his life, his heart is the most concerned about his son. With the whistle at the end, he ended his wonderful life and left hope to his son.

I saw some comments criticizing the movie as "childish", how unreasonable the story is, how arrogant this centenarian is, and so on, but I think these are a bit too critical.

Looking at the characters in this movie alone, the two protagonists add up to nearly 200 years old (refer to Ni Ping’s algorithm), and there is also a stunned pharmacy guy. There is no beauty or handsome guy. It’s such a combination, and it’s shot at the slightest. There is no dullness, sound and color, laughter and tears, it is really not what ordinary people can do. If you don’t believe me, look up similar works, there are really few such finenesses.

If you insist on finding fault, so can I.

For example, should people obey the old? I think it’s hard to say, I’m afraid that when we should serve the old, we should still serve the old.

For example, sometimes the elderly can't stand the toss. Like in the movie, the old people soaked in the rain or something, may have problems in reality.

Also, is Dartley insisting on letting his son Babu change, right? Is he too paranoid?

...

But I think the film can have its own orientation and a clear attitude. If it wants to express "life needs to live a wonderful life", there is no need to look forward and backward too much.

After all, movies are movies, and life is life. When we talk about movies, we are not entirely talking about life.

Moreover, under the premise that Dartley was diagnosed with cancer, he had no time for the rest of his life, and he had emotional support for his son's ardent expectations.

I will go to the cinema to support Indian films.
