77 pounds, 25 days, a shocking single-lens handheld shooting

I got a few interesting facts about this film from Trivia in IMDB:
77 pounds: Matthew McConaughey, who played Ron Woodroof in the film, lost 47 pounds in order to play Ron who was infected with AIDS. Similarly, Rayon's actor, Jared Leto, who just returned from the band's five-year tour, lost 30 pounds.

25 days: Due to the short-term financing and the tight budget, the film did not have complete preparations before shooting. The entire shooting process only took 25 days. The male number two Leto only took 23 days to complete the shooting due to work schedules.

Due to the financing difficulties of the film and the shortage of budget, a single-lens handheld shooting was used throughout the filming period, and there was no supplementary light tool to assist.
These three data strongly illustrate that even under such a shortage of resources, the efforts of the two actors and the entire film crew made this period of AIDS in the United States in the late 1980s when AIDS was rampant but was not effectively controlled. Immaculately placed in front of our eyes.

Unlike many of McConaughey's previous personable performances, he played the role of a Texas gangster electrician who was exposed to pornography, gambling, and drugs. After losing the game, he ran away with the gambling money. Of course, if Ron hadn't had the genes for the rebellion and challenge of the bull rider, there would have been no later his entire struggle.
Leto is a typical American gay Rayon who is a typical American gay man in the play "How can I lay eggs" in the play.

The development of the story is mainly based on three contradictions or clues: Ron's personal acceptance and active treatment of his disease; people's discrimination and prejudice against AIDS patients and homosexuals, Ron also did at the beginning; Ron and Eve's resistance to drugs.

The two outstanding performances allowed the audience to fully substituting the film into the film. The inner drama can be said to run through it. When the doctor told Ron that he had HIV and only 30 days were left, he went from being impatient to disbelief. When Eve told him that the result was correct, he didn't say a word, and there was no dialogue, but what the audience saw was a blank in his mind and his eyes flashed red. When he finally reacted, he could only helplessly ask the doctor. : "30th?". Ron first went to the brink of collapse (going home and continue to get high) to recognize the facts and fight hard.
As a AIDS patient, Rayon's inner emotions, such as fear, despair, helplessness, and homosexuals' desire for love and freedom, are all manifested at the end of his life. Leto's image of homosexuality in the play really makes the audience unforgettable, and it is indeed commendable to have such a performance again after many years of leaving the film world. Personally, I think the highlight is Rayon's sweet white rabbit look after Ron forcibly asks his friend to shake hands with him. This shows the change of Rayon's attitude towards Ron. Of course, when Rayon meets his father for money and the end of his life, the audience feels a strong sense of substitution.

77 pounds, 25 days, single-lens handheld shooting.
In addition to 6 Oscar nominations so far, the film has also won 41 awards and 28 nominations worldwide. Of course, what I look forward to most is to see the best film on the podium on the evening of March 2nd. The three awards for actor and actor will be awarded to my favorite movie this year.

A drug addict, a drug addict, and an AIDS patient at the same time completed a self-salvation in his own extreme way. From the beginning for profit, to later for rights, he gradually upgraded to a fighter, a fighter for justice and fairness for LGBT in the 1980s. Matthew McConaughey gave an Oscar-level performance. Whether he will win an award depends on whether the judges are afraid of sensitive topics.
