For the long-lost rivers and lakes and the chivalrous taste

It’s strange to say that in this simple and rude revenge hack and slash movie, I actually saw the taste of the long-lost ares and knights. For this little American movie, I can’t help but shake my hands to 5 star.

Personal heroism, the story of seeing Buddha killing Buddha and turning over a vote of people is an old stalk in Hollywood movies. But whether it is a killer or a special agent, after thinking about it carefully, there is really no movie that allows me to directly associate them with the word "Knight".

But for this movie, as long as the setting background is slightly modified, the storyline remains intact. A martial arts master wearing a bamboo hat, a long sword, and a fluttering white coat will jump out of the screen. Even most of the fighting scenes, I can make up the corresponding pictures. . . I probably miss movies that are truly chivalrous.

In addition to the director deliberately creating a Jianghu background, he privately thought that Keanu Reeves had his own chivalrous style. Although his face was swollen into an uncle, no longer the heroic spirit of the "hacker" era, every close-up made me sigh, but fortunately, when the aura was still there, in suits and ties, he couldn't bear it. I feel that if it weren't for him, the so-called knight taste would have been lost by most.

Movies made at a small cost cannot afford big scenes of blasting and car chasing. They are mostly gunfights and hand-to-hand fights in small spaces. Instead, they feel a lot of freshness. It seems that they are used to eating big fish and meat. It's not unpalatable.

The overall film picture is cold and harsh, there are no muddy shots, and no violent and bloody shots deliberately magnified, which force the audience to give the audience an artificial visual stimulation. Some violent images are even treated with a bit of artistic conception, and I can't help but tsk the taste of martial arts. . Naturally, the soundtrack is strong and complements the fighting scenes, which is enough to add points.

Keanu, who had lost weight, shot neatly, but his movements were sluggish. I like the setting of the killer world in the film, and it feels like an urban fairy tale like "The Eunuch". The bad breath of the film is in the literary and opera part. There are too many logical loopholes that dominate the behavior of the characters, and there is no artistic conception to recall, and no violent aesthetics can be extracted. Denzel Washington focuses on redressing grievances. There is an urban chivalrous style, but this film is purely revenge.

Sure enough, it's the second spring of chicken slaves! This script is entirely for Liam Neeson, haha. Only the last scene in the rain was a bit silly, probably purely to make the chicken slave nostalgic for the fight in the rain of The Matrix.

John Wick quotes

  • Viggo Tarasov: [calling John Wick on the telephone] Hello, John.

    [John says nothing]

Viggo Tarasov: I heard about your wife, and I'm sorry. My condolences. It's, uh, seems to be fate, or happenstance, or just bad fuckin' luck caused our paths to cross once again.

    [John says nothing]

    Viggo Tarasov: John?

    [John says nothing]

Viggo Tarasov: Let us not resort to our baser instincts and handle this like civilized men to move on...

[John hangs up mid-sentence; Viggo puts down his phone in a resigned manner]

    Avi: What'd he say?

    Viggo Tarasov: [pause] Enough.

    Avi: [quietly] Oh, God.

    Viggo Tarasov: Task your crew.

    Avi: H-how, how many?

Viggo Tarasov: How many do you have?

  • Winston: Have you thought this through? I mean, chewed down to the bone? You got out once. You dip so much as a pinky back into this pond... you may well find something reaches out... and drags you back into its depths.
