Disappointment is due to the expected value. It has not reached the height of similar black violent classic films. Compared with Nicolas Winding Refn’s previous works, there are even compromised parts. The second half should be smoother and more controlled. It's a little too close. Of course, the surprise is not small. The atmosphere of restraint from the beginning to the end of the film is well connected. It is a balance between surly ridicule and realistic violence. This is inseparable from the full preparation of the first half, plus the films of the 8th and 90ths. The tune of the tune is unique now.
Ryan Gosling's concentration in the film is unprecedentedly high, and the subtle levels of the role are perfectly displayed. As an actor of the same generation, he hasn't missed the film selection.
