Disappointed at the end.

The trigger was pulled, and after a moment of astonishment and silence, Richard broke free, preached ecstatically, sal aimed and fired in a panic, and Richard ran around. There was a commotion in the crowd, and there were shouts of "Kill him!" "Kill him!" Richard's original ecstasy turned into consternation and fear. The marijuana farmer fired his gun at the ceiling again, the crowd exploded like a swarm, Richard took the opportunity to escape from the hall, ran into the dark jungle, escaped the brightly lit heaven hall, the moon was high, and the white sand beach was silent .

Narrator (Little Lee): People were eventually forced off the beach. . .

People get off the beach in homemade boats without Richard, people hug each other and cry, etienne and francoise are lost, sal is dazed. Richard on the cliff watched silently.

In the last scene, back to the modern web hall, Richard opened the email, and the photos slowly buffered out. Narrator, blah blah, last END, black screen, play music.

Precious fragments are eternity. It was normal at first, until later, when someone was bitten by a shark, it became profound. Everything you do for your own happiness. Until the end, in order to stay there, to kill... Some people really do anything to be happy. But in fact everyone is the same, more or less.

The Beach quotes

  • Hustler: Hey! Do you need somewhere to stay?

Richard: Well, I'll be fine. I'll find my own place thanks!

Hustler: Good time boy! Girl! Fucking! No problem.

Hustler: You wanna drink snake blood?

Richard: Wait a minute, did you say snake blood?

    Hustler: Oh yeah!

    Richard: No thanks.

Hustler: What is wrong with snake blood?

Richard: I just don't like the idea.

Hustler: Or maybe you're scared, afraid of something new!

Richard: No, I just don't like the idea, that's all.

Hustler: Ah-ha! Just like every tourist, you are all the same, just like America!

Richard: And me, I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it's not some place you can look for, 'cause it's not where you go. It's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're a part of something, and if you find that moment... it lasts forever...
