2. This novel is great. Both English and Chinese translations are good. Although the cover of Yilin hardcover is ugly, the introduction is terrible.
3. THE FILM COMPRESSIONS THE FICTION GREATLY. In addition, I feel that the director has not grasped the style and spirit of the novel very well... Art plays an important role in the original novel, but not in the film. Plus the casting issue... the only one and the worst: Renée Zellweger. It feels like she's a far cry from the elegant but fragile actress described in the novel.
4. But because I like novels too much, I still have a good impression of this movie. The music at the end of the credits, safe and sound, is particularly beautiful. Another surprise is that the end credit music of k-pax is also it. Both the novel and the movie of the same name are fantastic. (Look at the remake level of others...)
5. If you buy English novels, it is best to use the cover of the first edition, which is beautiful and subtle. The latter version was replaced with a movie poster in order to match the movie promotion. A little regret.
