This is a typical Japanese youth film mode. Popular in the past, it seems to be in line with the spiritual needs of Japan's hardships after the defeat of the war. In fact, the Japanese never give up, take things seriously, and at the same time emphasize teamwork, it is indeed the reason for their rapid re-emergence after the war.
Recently watching "Linda Linda Linda" by a band of four girls, people will think of "Laba Academy" and "Five Boys Who Throwing Water" which have been successful at the box office in recent years. Mies said that I had left out Reina Tanaka's debut novel, Mountain Dew.
When I think about it, I also agree that Mountain Dew and Linda Linda Linda are relatively close. The former can be said to be the forerunner of breaking through the classic mode. The rowing team in Mountain Dew didn't create a miracle, focusing on the friendship between several girls; "Linda Linda Linda" also cares about the bits and pieces of campus life, and goes further, there is no competition at all, not even struggle process and competitors. It is indeed more human to not think about ichiban's life all day long, as long as you don't indulge in going to the other extreme. In fact, living in moderation is the most difficult and the least marketable. It is a clear proof to see that the streets are full of scumbags or people who want to stand out.
