The meaning of Mickey's words

This phrase is translated by most people as: My moment of purity is worth more than your life of lies. and has various meanings. But after reading it several times, I still feel that there is a problem with the translation. Let's look at the context: W: Wayne; M: Mickey.

W: Was it really worth it?

M: Was what worth it?

W: Was massacring those people worth being separated from your love for the rest of your life?

M: You mean, was an instant of my purity worth a lifetime of your lies? Wayne?

W: Please explain to me, where is the purity you couldn't live without in the 52 people who are no longer on this planet because they met you and Mallory. What's so pure about that? How do you do it?

Mickey said this in response to Wayne's question. His question is: Is it worth it to say goodbye to someone you love in order to kill so many people? It can be seen that in Mickey's answer, Instant of my purity corresponds to murder, while lifetime of your lies corresponds to saying goodbye to someone you love. Combined with the plot behind the escape, it can be understood that Mickey didn't believe that Mallory would never be seen again at the beginning. This is just Wayne's nonsense. So it is lies. Wayne then asked about the definition of purity, and Mickey explained that his motives were pure and uninfluenced and controlled by others. Because it was born that way.

There is no doubt about the first half of this sentence, because the second half of the sentence is directly translated as follows: Is my pure moment worth the life of your lie? To put it bluntly, even if I kill so many people, I will never see my lover again. You are just lying. Mickey is expressing sarcasm and disdain.

So this answer originally had no deep meaning, just because the Chinese translation was inaccurate and was forcibly explained by some people. I read a lot of movie reviews and no one came up with it, and I suspected that I had misunderstood it. If you are not an English major, you are welcome to discuss if you feel that there is a problem with the translation.

Totally believed. Oliver Stone is not my thing! In time Quentin's book was useless for me.

A variety of expression techniques, strong artistic sense, slightly dizzy. Uncle Tangni is still a little older. Now he is Uncle Yuppie, but he was a young man at the time. So Sao Nian, it doesn't matter if you are weak now, after many years of being an uncle, you will become a benevolent if you fail to succeed.
