The film did raise a lot of questions at the beginning, but later found that the director had no opinion on these issues at all, the characters were chaotic, and the plot development was messy and uninteresting. As if someone told you 'gun legality is a problem' - but not explaining his views and arguments to you, like crap

The whole film can be summed up in one shot: a woman wearing a mask and white clothes jumps in slow motion and then dies

The Purge quotes

  • Polite Leader: [Regretfully, after stabbing James] Shhh. It's OK. Your soul has been cleansed, Mr. Sandin. You've purged. Just one question for you: was his life worth yours? Your family's? Thank you for this unforgettable purge, Mr Sandin.

    [kisses his forehead]

  • [after Mary butts Grace's gun in the face and smashing her head on the glass table]

Mary Sandin: DID YOU HEAR ME, GRACE? NO MORE KILLING TONIGHT!... Is it that hard to understand?
