The film comes from the autobiographical novel "Bag of Bullets" by the famous contemporary French writer Joseph Joff. In German-occupied France, Maurice and Joe are young Jewish brothers whose father runs a barber shop, and the family lives a warm and happy life. Until the Nazis demanded that all Jews must sew a yellow six-pointed star on their coats to distinguish them, due to the prejudice against Jews at that time, the attitude of classmates towards them also began to change. Seeing that the situation of the Jews was getting more and more embarrassing, the father ordered the two brothers to flee to the free zone first, and the family agreed to meet in Nice. Before leaving, his father told no one to tell anyone their Jewish identity. On the train leaving, they really saw the Nazi persecution of the Jewish people with their own eyes. During the long escape, the Nazis seemed to be everywhere, and their amazing wit and courage as well as the help of strangers allowed them to escape the threat of death again and again. The two brothers depended on each other for reunion with their families.
