Small details, no big picture

The film as a whole is quite compact, but the following details still need to be pointed out. Of course, commercial movies, action movies, the main factors are in place.

1. Concept of time and place:

Cage's prison is supposed to be in California, as you can see from the license plate of that unpopular guy from the DEA. The prisoners are all going to be transferred to Alabama, which happens to be Cage's hometown (subtitles are given before the fight at the bar), so Cage took this ride (airplane) to go back in time for the girl's birthday. This is fine;

In the middle is Carson City, and the next few are up (the sons of Mexican drug dealers, the longhairs who can fly, and the temporary passenger murderers). Carson City is located in Nevada, just east of California. This journey is not far, and it is similar to what is explained in the movie;

Freson, the city of Fresno, is the place where Cage dropped the little black man and sent a letter to Cusack (writing on his chest), which is in California, just south of Carson City. It is equivalent to the plane flying south from Carson City, Nevada, back to California;

The prisoners' plan was to go to Lerner Airfield, a near-abandoned airport, in exchange for a plane that was picked up by a Mexican drug dealer. This Lerner Airfield can't be found, but it should be not far from Carson City. The long-haired driver said more than 200 miles, and Cusack arrived in a sports car in 50 minutes. In theory, this airport is also in Nevada;

The tracker of the prisoner transport plane was put on the small plane of the travel agency by the little black man and flew to Arizona with a group of grandparents. Arizona is east of California and south of Nevada. Started the helicopter to track the small plane and went to Arizona;

Finally, there is Las Vegas. Also in Nevada. After a shootout at Lerner Airfield, the inmates fled in a plane and made an emergency landing shortly after, indicating that Lerner Airfield is not far from Las Vegas, and Las Vegas is directly east of the city of Fresno.

If these place names are clear, the geographical line of the movie will be clear. Cage's prison, get on the plane, California; fly east to Carson City, land, pick up and drop off passengers, Nevada; fly south back to California, drop a little black man, Fresno; go east again Lerner Airfield, Nevada, the plane made an emergency landing, fought with the military police, took off forcibly, and smashed the sports car of the DEA grandson (interspersed with Cusack driving a sports car from the California base for dozens of minutes, the speed of the sports car does not matter 200 kilometers+), and finally made a forced landing in Las Vegas not far away.

2. The resulting details:

Cage's wife and daughter, waiting for him to come home, should be in Alabama. It's not close to California, it's equivalent to spanning the east and west of the United States. The first scene is a male police officer of the US MARSHAL who meets Mrs. Cage at the airport and asks them to follow him on the plane. The next scene is when they meet Cusack. This time is not right. Cusack was in California at that time, and flying from Alabama was no shorter than the flight time of the air prison at that time (California, Carson City, and then back to Fresno City to drop the little black man), even in the California It took a while for Mori City to pick up and drop off passengers, but this detail would not hurt. Of course, it would be more convincing if the writers set Cage's hometown as Arizona, New Mexico or Texas.

But the latter one is a pain in the ass. In order to show that Cage saw his wife and daughter for the first time after completing his mission, the footage showed that the female officer of the Federal Marshals Police (very beautiful) and the male officer who was in Alabama before took Cage's wife and daughter to the scene of the emergency landing by helicopter. You must know that the forced landing in Las Vegas is not a pre-planned plan, and it will take time to fly from the California base. It is impossible for Cage to make an emergency landing here, and his wife and daughter will come to Las Vegas there. This is the obvious arrangement. Many movies make this mistake in the finale. No way, to set off the atmosphere, we can't care about such details.

Also, Cage snatched the little bunny doll for his daughter from the sewer. This is also necessary to set off the atmosphere, but the plane made an emergency landing at the casino, and then Markovic and others grabbed the fire truck and ran away. This distance is not short. The bunny was in the cargo hold of the plane. After the emergency landing, it would only be scattered around, and it was impossible to fly so far. When Cusack subdued the criminal with a fire hydrant, the fire truck collided with the cash truck. The brothers chased out on Harley-Davidson motorcycles and said less than ten kilometers. If there are no scattered banknotes, it can also be understood that Cage returned to the crash landing site and retrieved the bunny, just like the place where Cusack and the unwelcoming DEA officials said about the car repair.

For the two locations in Las Vegas (where the forced landing casino and the fire truck hit the cash truck), the director did some more homework and made the last sensational part (retrieving the rabbit and reuniting the family) all return to the forced landing location, Even one more shot, with Cage returning to Alabama or flying back to the California base with Cusack, would be perfect.

Just watch a movie, it's not solving a case, and paying too much attention to details is not good. All in all, the movie is a top-notch movie.

    Officer at Leaving Ceremony: Army Rangers have a proud history. Since the 1700s, Rangers have led the way in every major confrontation in which the United States has been involved. You men are a credit to that fine heritage, and I'm sorry to see you go. But you've served your country well, and you've displayed the ability to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete its mission, never leaving behind a fallen comrade no matter what the odds or the enemy. I thank you. America thanks you. And I wish you luck wherever you go. And remember: Rangers lead the way.
