The three brothers have not seen each other for a year since their father's funeral. The eldest, Francis, plans a well-thought-out trip to India and tells his younger brothers that it's to find himself and each other's kinship. Although not keen on the trip, the second child, Peter and the third Jack, who are trying to escape their bad lives, agrees to Francis' plan. The three brothers embark on a hilarious journey across India on a luxury train, collecting bizarre souvenirs from various places along the way. Finally, after hooking up with the female conductor, letting go of the cobra bought as a souvenir, and fighting on the train, they were thrown off the train with all their luggage by the unbearable conductor. Although everything was out of Francis' control, this unplanned change brought the three brothers closer to the true purpose of the trip...

Anderson's cold humor is always overwhelming.

It is also a road film about the meaning of travel and growth experience. The color and soundtrack of the film are very first-class, and the rich and exotic flavors embellish it a lot. The style is self-contained. Maybe Wes Anderson is an island. A lot of shots are jumped and traversed. Even ordinary dialogues are abandoned. The operation traces are slightly heavy, but they do not feel distorted. , Just like an adult fairy tale world, Natalie did not forget to come over to make soy sauce. 3.5

The Darjeeling Limited quotes

  • Peter: [upon discovering that Jack's ex-girlfriend left her perfume in his suitcase] Could she be gaslighting you?

    Jack: What's gaslighting?

  • Jack: Which direction did your's go?

    Francis: What do you mean?

Jack: Your feathers... mine blew toward the mountains

Francis: That's not right. It's not suppose to get blown away. You're suppose to blow on it then bury it.

Peter: I didn't get that. I still have mine.

Francis: You guys didn't do it right. I asked if you read the instructions. You did it wrong... I tried my hardest. I don't know what to do.

Peter: I don't think Dad would've hated it.
