True kindness does not lie in occasional acts of charity when wealthy; true compassion is not only about protecting family members in times of crisis. In the age of war, in the years of self-care, in the land where killings are rampant, do you have enough kindness to abandon all your property in exchange for the lives of others, do you have enough compassion to do your best to help on the death line Struggling compatriots?
Paul Luce Sebergina did it. Maybe he had inner struggles and fears, maybe he had weighed the pros and cons, but when he faced a pair of longing eyes and the moment of life and death, he chose greatness. In 1994, the Rwandan civil war broke out and the genocide had reached its peak. The inaction of the United Nations and the successive withdrawal of Western whites made the situation more serious. As the room manager of a hotel, Paul took in 1,268 local residents out of humanitarian nobility, and dealt with the warlords, the United Nations troops, and the Belgian headquarters in order to maintain the right of everyone to survive. Unlike Schindler, Paul does not have any social status, and his wife is a Tutsi who was hunted down, making his situation extremely difficult. The only things that can come in handy are bribery and lobbying. However, with extraordinary courage, clever mind, and precious heart of gold, he became the redeemer of 1,268 civilians.
At the end of the film, the children's singing echoes in the air. Although they are far away from the war, when will the trauma of the soul be healed? Why is the world full of racial discrimination and massacre, why is there still a battlefield filled with gunpowder, and why use weapons to destroy the lives of innocent people? I am fortunate to have grown up in a peaceful country, but I still pray for all the victims of war. I think of John Lennon’s lyrics: Imagine all the people Living life in peace You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one……

Why listen to the ending song of "Rwanda Hotel":
Nduzaricyeza ricyeza. (African indigenous language)
[When will the sun rise again?] [When will the sun rise again]
[Who will reveal it "to" us again?] [Who will reveal it "to" us again?]
Rwanda, Rwanda, Rwanda, Rwanda
Yeah Rwanda, Rwanda. Ah ! Rwanda, Rwanda
They said: "Many are called and few are chosen," They said: "Many are called and few are chosen,"
But I wish some wasn't chosen . But I wish some were never chosen
for the blood spilling of Rwanda.
They said: "Meshach Eshach and Abednego,
Thrown in the fire but you never get burned," They said: "Meshach Eshach and Abednego," "
but the I td width = wish that the I DID not GET burned in Rwanda but I hope I will not be burned Rwanda war
they said:" the man is judged according to his works, " they said:." human Factors be distinguished contribution "

Hotel Rwanda quotes

  • Paul Rusesabagina: General, these are difficult times, we need to help one another.

General Bizimungu: And what help can I get from you, Paul?

Paul Rusesabagina: You are a marked man, sir!

    General Bizimungu: How so?

Paul Rusesabagina: You're on a list, the Americans have you on a list as a war criminal!

General Bizimungu: Paul, I am sick and tired of your lies.

Paul Rusesabagina: Are you stupid General? How do you think these people operate? You sit here with five stars on your chest! Who do you think they're coming after?

    [pause]

Paul Rusesabagina: Fine, we will go to Gitzarama and you will stay on that list.

General Bizimungu: I committed no war crimes.

Paul Rusesabagina: Who will tell them? You need me to tell them how you helped at the hotel. They blame you for all their misfortunes. They say you lead the massacres!

General Bizimungu: I lead no massacres!

Paul Rusesabagina: Do you think they will believe you?

General Bizimungu: You will tell them the truth!

Paul Rusesabagina: I will tell them nothing unless you help me!

[General Bizimungu reaches for his gun]

Paul Rusesabagina: What- what are you going to do... shoot me? Shoot me. Please shoot me. It would be a blessing. I will pay you to shoot my family. You can not hurt me.

General Bizimungu: You will tell them I did nothing!

Paul Rusesabagina: We are leaving. Right now.

  • Paul Rusesabagina: Hundreds, there were too many to count.

Dube: Why are people so cruel?

Paul Rusesabagina: Hatred... Insanity... I don't know...
