When I watched The Three-Step Killing Song (the second part of the Killing Trilogy), I thought Yi was just an action movie director who likes to act cool. Except for Quentin, who has great acting skills and rap, I have seen too many actions. After the film, I don't think the film has any good points.
Then I watched Sin City. I still think it's a bit cool, but the art is very stylized, but the old-fashioned story, the protagonist who pretends to be cool.
When I saw the mill, and compared with Quentin, who was becoming less and less motivated, I realized that this guy's stuff really has some personality.
Until today, I re-watched the first and third parts of the murder trilogy, and I found out that this buddy is too bh.
It sounds like a trilogy, but in fact, the styles of the three are very, very different.
3-Step Killer is the closest thing to a normal action movie, so I find it boring; El Mariachi is a serious cult film that can't be more cheap ($7,000! What a concept!), but highlights There are dozens of them, and the overall look is similar; the most criticized Mexican past, hahaha, is a complete spoof of the game, which completely swept away the pseudo-sublime.
Let’s talk about El Mariachi first. I’ve seen the shape of those guns in it before. I’m sorry. The one in the protagonist’s hand looks too disgusting. It looks like an enlarged version of the fake Uzi that failed. The verdict had a very bad impact. In fact, aside from the crudeness of some props, the movie is very well done. From the beginning to the end, the clear and crisp beginning even reminds me of Leone's western past, and the extremely coherent cuts make you forget that this is really just a copycat. The film did not forget to insert a lot of symbolic scenes - I thought it was just the director pretending to be forceful, but later I found that it was really interesting to connect several dreams together. As for the cult elements in it, such as the one-man band in the so-called bar, such as the fast-forward that flashes from time to time, and the very talented bathtub sing-along, which constantly brings surprises to people. This film can be used as a teaching material for aspiring young people who learn to make movies.
Let's talk about Mexico. This movie is so fun, treat it like a spoof comedy that's guaranteed to keep you laughing from start to finish. Rodriguez didn't intend to speak seriously, which is decidedly different from El Mariachi. Do I have proof? Of course. A copycat film like El Mariachi is played by A Robert Rodriguez Film in the title, but the title is A Robert Rodriguez Flick for a big cast like Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Don’t underestimate this word, the difference is big, one is somewhat Respect for the art of film, a brother who is somewhat similar to your dormitory next door greets you: Come to my dormitory tonight to watch porn! So, when I saw these words, my mind was completely relaxed, and I saw how he did his best to concoct a copycat coup d'état. The more provocative the place, the more I laugh.
Talented, Yi is really talented, I kind of want to watch Sin City 2.
