Shocked, but how shocking is the word

To be honest, our psychology students have relatively little contact with various aspects of psychology, and these should probably be analyzed in clinical medicine. But split personality is indeed one of the more intriguing cases in psychology.
Because I am a psychology student, I reject the so-called "psychological" movies, because psychologists in literature and art are portrayed as "gods" or "perverts", and psychology is deified , or, demonization.
But this movie is really shocking, at least I like it.
After reading the previous comments, they are all wonderful and in place. I won't say much, just express my own views.
At the end, why are there only prostitutes left, (of course not the end), I first thought of McCann's mother mentioned at the beginning. If the real murderer does not appear in the end, I will think this is a relatively happy reunion In the end, what remains of McCann's infinite nostalgia and expectations for his mother, a new life is waiting for the "makeover" woman in this virtual world and McCann who overcomes the split personality in the real world. Unfortunately, this is just my wishful thinking. I think I will be as "silly and naive" as the psychiatrist in the film.
I should have known for a long time that the reason for McCann’s split personality is his childhood experience, his mother’s misdeeds and abuse, and he was shrouded in shadow from childhood to adulthood. The source of the conflict was McCann and his mother when he was a child, and the conflict and climax appeared at the end, What must be left and exposed, that is, the child and the mother, the grievances and grievances, right and wrong, should be resolved. So, Timmy and Paris are left, symbolizing McCann and his mother as a child, and ultimately the deep hatred overwhelms the child's expectations of his mother - the woman and the orangery, Paris is dead, McCann's Humanity, dead, leaves only the body of an adult, and the heart of a wounded child.

It's completely spoiled, but it's still great

Another movie that pays homage to Granny's "No Survival", but this kind of mental illness is very well written, that is, how the mystery came about, it doesn't need logic at all, and it doesn't need to explain how the murderer planted a bomb and lost the body. It's not like grandma who writes detective novels must make the scene clear, so it seems that the level of screenwriters is high.

Ginny: Not until you calm down!

Lou: [slams door viciously] I am calm! I am very fucking calm!

  • Larry: [nervously looks for something to lock the diner fridge with] Shit!

Robert Maine: [taunts] What's wrong, buddy? What do you got in the fridge?

    Larry: You shut up.

Robert Maine: What's in there? What's in there? What do you got in there?

    Larry: Shut up.

Robert Maine: What is it, huh?

    Larry: Shut up.

Robert Maine: Come on, you can tell me. I'm good at keeping secrets. I got a whopper myself.
