Someone asked me: What do you think are good movies in China?
I would say: what is your definition of a good movie? If it's special effects, costumes, "clowns" and the like, I think there are quite a few. An estimated 99.99% are of this type. If it is about plots, characterizations, etc., maybe there are a few in ten years, but maybe there are none at all. This is really hard to say, maybe I watch less Chinese movies. But if it's about ideas, human nature, shocks and the like. I can tell you with certainty and certainty: China simply does not have a market for such films.
It is rude to say that Chinese movies, just like Made in China, are gorgeous and easy-going. But in reality it is superficial and useless. Using Chinese movies such as Made in China is an insult to Made in China. The latter said that even if it is all kinds of copycats and pirated copies, it can barely be said to be "good quality and cheap", and Chinese movies are indeed expensive. The price is also disgusting and ruins my eyes.
