literary films in american dramas

What to watch, I don't watch American dramas.
Knowing how to choose is important. For example, my dad watches a lot of movies and American TV series, and likes to fight and kill exciting plots. I am very different from him, but every time I ask him what the film is about, the most he says is: I forgot.
Either don't look at it, just look at the delicate ones, the ones that can get things, and choose what I have written down. I don't watch non-magical dramas.

The selling points of "Zhao Xue":
- The latest work of the screenwriter of Breaking Bad.
- Based on the rape case in Zhejiang, China. (?!)

Even so, the blandness and slowness of the plot put many people off. The rhythm is quite slow, which may be a major reason for the unpleasantness, someone looking to fall asleep? But this style, I like it!
It's also because the light and shadow of the play is really exquisite, the soundtrack is just right at the emotional node, the characters are real, and there are philosophical, religious, and stream-of-consciousness dialogues outside the plot. Some people say that it is a small freshness in American TV series. I wonder why no one has analyzed its religious connotation.

HBO's "True Detective" is a magical drama, and the two have different styles. A true detective is a tough guy who exposes the truth in front of you, Zhaoxue is a gentle needle that slowly lifts the veil and kills invisible.

Voice. The soundtrack is always just right and hits the spot where it should be. Many of them stand on the shoulders of giants, the Coen Brothers soundtrack Down to the River to Pray.

Light. The picture of the younger sister lying on the green grass, the brother and sister watching the light and shadow of the sunrise together, and the hazy appearance of the male protagonist near the sculpture... The picture is really amazing, a model of small freshness, and some people commented that TV dramas are rare.

film. The mother and son face each other but the window lattice is separated, the prison is suffocatingly white, the seemingly random scene of the lawn in the countryside... I believe that these arrangements have meanings, sometimes the lack of sound is really depressing, reminds me of a Greek movie "Miss Violence" ", once again, unlike the style of TV dramas, it brews and conveys an emotion like a literary film.

plot. Weakening, everyone knows what the plot is advancing, and there is a lot to say. The character portrayed by the actor is quite real, and even if the person is truly repulsive, there is a reason for that.
It was closed for 20 years and then released. We slowly adapted with the male protagonist's footsteps, and we can imagine how difficult it is. He is still a child at heart, playing game consoles, skateboarding, riding bicycles, listening to Walkman, but he has to quickly adapt to the era of computers and mobile phones, gossip in small towns, attacks by malicious people...etc. Wait.
Just seven days after being released from prison, getting to know the younger brother and sister of Our Lady of Glory, a strange shepherd, and being beaten to the brink of death after being baptized, isn't it obvious enough? Could it be that he is a tortured god, and it is not surprising that American dramas always have this idea. It's strange that no one on imdb has analyzed such a divine plot.
His baptism is also worthy of attention. Even he himself thought it would be able to wash away the sins of the past, but it turned out that he did not, and the guilt increased. The male protagonist's thoughts on his dead girlfriend must be different from others. In the eyes of others, she is a dissolute girl at a young age. In the eyes of the male protagonist, she is pure and beautiful, like a little wild flower blooming at the beginning, so that her death makes him With such remorse, it is difficult to walk out of the shadows (running up to the attic and digging out the tapes recorded by his former girlfriend to listen to the real abuse).
dialogue. The dialogue of the characters in the play is powerful, especially when the monologue mode is turned on, it is thought-provoking. My favorite:
Focus on preparing or the act rather than the result of the act.
It's the beauty that hurts you the most, not the ugly.
The male protagonist is prone to philosophical thinking, stream of consciousness, and more myths in prison.

figure. The key part of the play is the relationship between the male protagonist and his inmates, which is a bit like the Shawshank redemption. It seems that they are both innocent and thus encourage each other. It's a pity that the inmate died later. Before his death, the last time he and the male protagonist met, it was impossible not to cry.
Because I know ya.
Because I know ya.
Because I know ya.
Just these three sentences, this repeated sentence, is enough to make people cry from the bottom of their hearts.

Later, the male protagonist imagined that he was accompanied by his inmates. The inmates said that he had been thinking about how to get out of prison before his death, which was the motivation to live. Now only you are still alive, do you want to taste what the underground world is like? The dead encourage the living to move forward, and he is part of the spiritual pillar of the male protagonist.
The three female characters are also very interesting. I feel that they are the three sides of the Virgin Mary. The mother escapes the truth, but cannot stop the love of the family; the younger brother and sister are absolutely immersed in the influence of the Virgin Mary's brilliance, holy and beautiful;

Although the second season has not been finished yet, and the truth is still unknown, this is no longer important, and more attention is paid to the play's discussion of divinity and humanity.

A quiet, beautiful, mysterious film.

Emotions, characters, stories, pictures, and soundtracks are all great, but the rhythm is too slow... Looking forward to the second season

I'm really not used to watching such a rhythm of the plot now.
