Rise of the Apes 2: The Battle of Dawn

It is more beautiful than the first one, and the script is fuller, increasing the differences and contradictions within the apes. There is a wonderful portrayal of the character of each orangutan. Even though I knew that it was performed by humans, I still felt it was very realistic. In terms of appearance, hair, movements, expressions and other aspects, it felt very close to the real gorilla, which shows that I have made great efforts in special effects, production, and performance.

It focuses on depicting the two schools of apes represented by Caesar and Coba. Caesar has lived with humans since he was a child, and has both deep feelings and doubts about humans. Caesar is definitely the king of the apes, with keen wisdom, brave and fearless against enemies, and gentle and generous towards his relatives. The villain Coba has only hatred for humans, and he only wants to war with humans. He is tyrannical and cunning, and he will cheat mankind with treasures in front of mankind. Caesar has always had the idea that apes will not kill apes. It is this idea that has become the fuse of the war between humans and apes. From the gang of gorillas who hate humans represented by Coba, seeing Caesar's help and tolerance for humans, they have been angry all the time, to Caesar leaving humans in the jungle in order to help humans build hydroelectric power stations, and Coba suspects humans. If there is a conspiracy, they start fighting over whether humans and apes should fight or be peaceful, and divisions and wars within the apes are inevitable.

The movie has two main lines, one is the conflict and war between humans and apes, and the other is the war within the apes. Because the apes' scenes are so wonderful, almost all humans have become supporting roles, and there are no apes as flesh and blood in terms of character creation. The apes in this play are the real souls. The majesty that Caesar rides on a war horse feels like he wants to create an empire king.

In order to retaliate against mankind and satisfy his own rights conspiracy, Coba assassinated Caesar and blaming mankind, and finally provoked war. After the big bang, he shot his own kind with guns and saw that they were injured. How is this different from us humans? Humans and apes are too similar. Because both apes and humans have complex emotions and internal divisions and battles, this great ape war is more interesting. If it was just a group of unwise beasts, it would become a very ordinary science fiction film.

The special effects of the film are so good, the battle scenes are magnificent and spectacular. The portrayal of the orangutan emotions and the capture of the movements are really vivid. The hair and facial features are meticulously crafted and meticulous. It feels like a real gorilla with human emotions. Not only the appearance is extremely similar, but also the deep depiction and expression of the orangutan's inner emotions. It is the best science fiction film I've seen recently.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes quotes

  • Dreyfus: [addressing the crowd] We've been through hell together! We spent four years, FOUR YEARS fighting that virus, and then another four fighting each other! It was chaos... But you all know what we're up against. And I want you to know, it's not just about power. It's about giving us the hope to rebuild, to reclaim the world we lost!

  • Malcolm: Apes do not want war.
