In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep,
though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

In the whole play, Dan only has a natural performance in the scenes of smoking and blowing the whistle, and all other scenes and lines are completely stiff for me! Modeling Z times is finally not disabled, but it looks like Hitler! And his inner height is so worrying, he can only transform me successfully when he paralyzes him... His eyes are blue and godless! Acting like a paranoid! Everyone else is better than him! ! As far as the subject matter is concerned, it could have been made into a good film! !

My Boy Jack quotes

  • [last lines]

Rudyard Kipling: Have you news of my boy Jack?/ Not this tide./ When d'you think that he'll come back?/ Not with this wind blowing, and this tide./ Has any one else had word of him?/ Not this tide./ For what is sunk will hardly swim, Not with this wind blowing, and this tide./ Oh, dear, what comfort can I find?/ None this tide,/ Nor any tide,/ Except he did not shame his kind-/ Not even with that wind blowing, and that tide./ Then hold your head up all the more,/ This tide,/ And every tide;/ Because he was the son you bore,/ And gave to that wind blowing and that tide!

  • Rudyard Kipling: [on why the British Empire must fight] You see, we have built up a family - a family of nations - and it must be protected. That is why Jack must fight! To protect the family!

Elsie Kipling: [Totally not buying it] You're protecting the wrong family, father.
