Midsummer Matisse

Last week, I went to the cinema to watch "Finding Nemo 2", and I was still moved by Pixar's positive energy. In summer, you should watch such sweet and burning cartoons. After eating ice cream, your mood will always shine for several days. The first time I saw Dolly, I thought it was very familiar. I always felt that the designer hid the symbol. Watching her swaying and dashing around, I suddenly remembered that this is Matisse's famous paper-cut work. Colors of Icarus. After I got in touch with the designer and then looked at Dolly, I felt that everything was natural and reasonable. Icarus is a god in Greek mythology whose father made him wings out of wax and feathers in order to fly away from Crete. But Icarus chased the sun and flew higher and higher, causing the wax on his wings to be melted by the sun, and eventually lost the power to fly and fell into the sea to his death. So now, Icarus is often compared to the naive, passionate dreamer, and in Pixar's films, the bold, generous, feisty Dolly is almost identical to Icarus. Matisse is a master of Fauvism comparable to Van Gogh and Picasso. He uses bold colors, minimalist shapes, innocence and vitality. There is no artist more suitable for midsummer than Matisse. Matisse was bedridden in his later years, lying in bed and in a wheelchair, and continued to create until his death. The late Matisse could no longer write, so the creative medium became paper-cut, and "Icarus" is one of the representative works. The figures in this work seem to be simple, but in fact, every arc has been carefully considered, which embodies the essence of Matisse's lifelong creation. In the BBC documentary, the host took exactly the same creative materials, but could not cut the charm of Matisse. In 2014, MoMA in New York presented a retrospective of Matisse's paper-cuts. The natural works spread from one exhibition hall to another, surrounding the small audience. The awe gushed out of my heart that great art really has religious power. The minimalist symbols show the DNA of Buddha's life, bright and pure, look like a baby's eyes, full of curiosity and curiosity about the new world, this is the beauty that existed before the appearance of language. Pixar, Dolly, and Mattis are all wonderful, especially now.
