Is Liangshan hero a hero?

This is not a new subject matter, and the victim has launched a powerful and highly intelligent counterattack against some kind of unpopular treatment. The plot is undoubtedly very suspenseful. Just like the prosecutor in the play, the audience is undoubtedly being led by the revenge. Why did they come to this point? It's already in the game, what's next? One of the big selling points of traditional suspense films is who the murderer is. In this film, the answer to this mystery was revealed early, and the suspense method was innovative.
But another "high" aspect of this film lies in the torture of a system, whether the existing judicial system is complete, how can the traditional sense of political correctness and human rights priority be more compatible and coordinated with the absolute sense of "fairness and justice"? Can the Liangshan hero-style clearing lead to the optimization of the entire judicial system? Can the Lei Yang case we are encountering promote greater openness and transparency throughout the law enforcement system?
Personally, the rhythm and story focus of this film are better in the first half than in the second half. Since the Avenger killed his roommate in the suite, the whole indictment and thought-provoking force has waned. From the performance point of view, the Avenger is a very difficult character to meet, but I feel that the actor's sense of this contradictory multi-facetedness can be improved further.

Law Abiding Citizen quotes

  • Nick Rice: [Referring to the machine administering the lethal injection execution] how does it work on a good day?

Warden Iger: It's designed to be pain free, three drugs injected in a specific order.

Nick Rice: At this point on, we're operating under the assumption the machine was corrupted.

Detective Dunnigan: We're going to need a list of people who had access to the machine.

Warden Iger: My people would not do this.

Detective Dunnigan: I appreciate that, but I'm going to need more than a "hall pass" or a "note from mom."

Nick Rice: [Reads writing written on one of the empty canisters in an evidence bag] "Can't fight fate". During the home invasion, Ames' accomplice said to one of the victim's the exact same phrase. Then he said the same thing to me in court.

  • Nick Rice: [In a car on their way to arrest Darby] I put him away.

Detective Garza: [Reading his criminal profile on a computer] Three years? Is that the going rate for murder these days?

Nick Rice: It was extenuating circumstances.

Detective Dunnigan: The only "extenuating" circumstance should be is that he didn't do it.

Detective Garza: But still, three years at "gladiator academy" like Marion Penitentiary, you expect him to come back a model citizen?

Nick Rice: If you scholars didn't contaminate the crime scene I could've kept him up locked up longer
