As a "Pixar Push for Life", it is a great surprise and honor to be invited to be the first audience to see the full film of "COCO" and connect with the director.

So first of all, a special thanks to Disney Dad for giving such an opportunity! ! !

So, let's talk about "COCO".

This is an animation based on the Mexican Day of the Dead, so the whole story is full of colors, music, emotions, and joy, it goes without saying. Even if it actually tells a sad story in essence, it is still told from a joyful point of view. This is "COCO".

The most exciting part of "COCO" is the design for the Kingdom of the Dead. It is a design that fully reflects Pixar’s imagination and is also the most exciting pillar in the film. It makes the whole story colorful. It's different. Among them, some of the action designs for the "deceased" are particularly interesting, adding a lot of unexpected surprises to some ordinary dance moves. This is also the most worth seeing place of "COCO" and the place that belongs to Pixar.

Also talk about music. The theme song "Remember Me" has been sung 4 times (right), and each time has a different emotional expression. Each time, it is a brand new "Remember Me". The last part of MiG is the most stunning, becoming the most moving part of the entire animation.

The design of the background and the performance of the music are all great things about "COCO", but the stories that Pixar is best at are somewhat clichéd. Basically, the beginning, the inheritance and the transformation are all very Disney-style routines, and there are no surprises. But it may be such a story, which is more suitable for parents to take their children to the cinema to watch, so it may be conceivable that this will be a very popular animation for families, which may also be what Pixar wants to see.

And why is this animation called "COCO"? This is a careful opportunity of the director, and it is also a point that I particularly like about this movie. "Looking for a Dream" does not give you a deeper impression of this animation, but COCO can. Thanks to the director, so that this "COCO" can have a complete circle from story to name.

In short, after the release of "COCO" next week, I will still go and make a contribution to Pixar's box office...I hope everyone can fall in love with Pixar. This is probably the long-cherished wish of being a "Pixar lifelong push". ! ! !

Obviously it is Mexican style, but it makes people feel nostalgic. The Day of the Dead is comparable to the Mid-Yuan Festival. The sea of flowers in the cemetery is like a river lantern. There are also paper-cuts at the beginning and Yin-Yang reunion at the end. A good movie really can break through cultural barriers. From the warm and peaceful twilight of a small town to the bizarre underworld stage, the use of light and tones is excellent.

Coco quotes

  • [Miguel is being chased by Mama Imelda, and he goes through a door in the alleyway]

Mamá Imelda: I am trying to save your life!

    Miguel: You're ruining my life!

    Mamá Imelda: [shocked] What?

Miguel: Music's the only way that makes me happy. And, you wanna take that away! You'll never understand!

[Miguel turns to leave, but then he stops when he hears Mama Imelda singing a verse of "La Llorona"]

Miguel: [questioned, turning back] I thought you hated music.

Mamá Imelda: [smiling nostalgically] I LOVED it! I remember that my husband would play, and I loved to sing, and nothing else mattered.

    [stops smiling; calmly]

Mamá Imelda: But when we had Coco, there was something that mattered more than music. I wanted to put down roots. He wanted to play for the world. We each made a sacrifice to get what we want. Now, you must make a choice.

Miguel: [resentfully] But, I don't want to pick sides. Why won't you just be on my side? That's what families do. Support you!

    [tearful]

    Miguel: But you never will...

[Miguel runs away, leaving Mama Imelda looking shocked and hurt]
