A family's ups and downs for more than 30 years, centered on the story of one of the children, Zac, struggling between gay and bisexuality.

There is such a story in the film that there is a man who believes in God very much. When he walks every day, he will leave two sets of footprints behind him, one is his own and the other is God's. But when he was at his worst, he found that there was only one line of footprints behind him. When he got rid of his troubles, he asked God, "Why do you say that you are with me, but leave me when I need you most?" God replied, "When you were most troubled, you saw only one footprint, That's because I'm carrying you forward."
