It directly reminds me of "The Wind Rising Clouds" that I watched many years ago. Hollywood's political films with a large number of lines are technically very powerful. Thinking about the story, it’s actually quite small, and it’s a campaign trader with innocent ideals and a governor who messes with a girl. The protagonist was originally a victim of the campaign strategy of both sides, and later mastered the governor’s handle in the power struggle. Reversed victory, but also lost his political ideals. This kind of struggle between ideals and reality in politics may not be a new theme, but it is quite effective as an element to promote drama.
