Perhaps it was those high school and childhood playmates in the actor's hometown that made people feel cordial. They mixed up with a living job in their hometown, and then faced a peaceful and boring life, looking for fun and outlets.
When the protagonist met Natalie Portman, who was also slightly neurotic but slender due to his illness, during the short four-day journey, as his companion went around in the town, he untied the childhood knot that caused depression. It is plain and plain, but it shows a kind of post-middle class, very warm but not sticky feeling in the most detail.
The (indie) music in the film is also very nice, and it's a big push!
In addition, Zach Braff, who is an editor and director, is too obvious to try his own intentions :P
