Although it was watched a long time ago, it is definitely a movie that all animation fans should watch!
Although there is no modern 3D effect, but there are many highlights:
1. The plot is very humorous,
2. The king's dubbing fully expresses his character There are many classic dialogues, including the selection of the queen (or the maid?), and the scene where the king fires the witch Yzma. It is still fresh in my memory.
3. The expression of the whole story narration is in the narrator ( The king) and the process of things, and I fully participate in the lovely character of this selfish and solitist king.
4. Although like all Disney movies, there is no part specially set for adults or suspenseful endings. It is the idealism that good guys win and bad guys get punished or correct evil. But the process of watching the movie is the best enjoyment of this movie. His high atmosphere, cheerful repertoire, bright and humorous character, with a little leap of thinking, yes A movie that will make you want to watch it again immediately after watching it!

It feels so good to go back to a movie you haven't seen! Although the arrangement of the play is mostly expected, it is still very comfortable to watch, and the funny bridge design in the film really makes me laugh. Surprisingly, I didn't expect that Disney would start laughing at himself as early as 2000. For example, Yzma and Kronk returned to the castle before Kuzco and Pacha. Kronk complained: They arrived at the castle design earlier.

The Emperor's New Groove quotes

  • Kuzco: [voiceover] So this is where you came in. See, just like I said, I'm the victim here! I didn't do anything, and they ruined my life and took everything I had.

Kuzco: Hey, give it a rest up there, will ya?

Kuzco: [voiceover] What? I'm just telling them what happened.

Kuzco: Who are you kidding, pal? They saw the whole thing. They *know* what happened.

Kuzco: [voiceover] Well, yeah, but... but...

    Kuzco: Just leave me alone.

[There are no more voiceovers for the remainder of the film]

  • [Yzma is sleeping in a huge tent, while Kronk is in a tent so small it only covers his waist. Suddenly Kronk jerks awake]

Kronk: The peasant, at the diner!

    [pause]

Kronk: He didn't pay his check.

[falls back asleep, but then jerks back up]

Kronk: It's the peasant who I saw leaving the city who disappeared into the crowd with Kuzco in the back of his cart. He must have taken him back to his village, so if we find the village, we find him, and if we find him, we find Kuzco. Oh, yeah, it's all comin' together. Yzma!

    [runs into her tent]

    Yzma: What?

[Yzma sits up with cold cream on her face and cucumbers on her eyes]

    Kronk: [recoiling] Aah!

Yzma: This had better be good!
