For me, this is an enlightenment film

I just watched this film now, and I feel a little bit touched. The first time I knew about the movie "Wei" was in elementary school. It seems to be a promotional film seen in a movie theater while watching a patriotic film collectively. I may not remember the events more than ten years ago, but the fragments of "Wei" are deeply reflected in my mind.

The film was made at an unprecedented price (of course I didn’t know this when I was young). The result of the huge sums of money was that these promotional clips alone affected my taste for movies and a wider range of things. . I like science fiction, the heavy American setting, and the broken copper and iron post-mortem world of the game "Fallout", etc...

But what's interesting is that such an important film has lasted more than ten years. Never really appreciate it. It used to be inconvenient to watch movies, but in recent years, BT has prevailed, so I didn't even go to the lower part to take a look, which is really strange (in fact, I thought of downloading it several times, but I forgot it immediately).

And today, I suddenly said to myself, take a look. So BT started... after... after watching... the feeling of a long absence. I won’t make any extra comments. I was enlightened by this film more than ten years ago.

I think of this movie I've seen a long time ago. It may not be that the newer the movie, the better it looks. Creativity is not so easy to be obliterated with the passage of time.

Known as the highest investment movie in history, it's still good

Waterworld quotes

  • Enola: He doesn't have a name, so death can't find him. He doesn't have a home or people to care for. He's not afraid of anything, men least of all. He's fast and strong like the big wind. He can hear 100 miles and see 100 miles underwater. He can hide in the shadow of the noon sun. He can be right behind you and you wont even know it till your dead.

  • Helen: You've been there, haven't you? Dryland? You know where it is.

Mariner: Yeah, I know where it is.

Helen: And, uh, and we're going?

Mariner: You and I are. The kid we gotta pitch over the side.

    Helen: What?

Mariner: My boat's tore up. I'm taking on water.

    [points to water filtration]

Mariner: I'd be lucky to get half a hydro ration out of that.

Helen: You know, I said I won't drink.

    Mariner: For twelve days?

    Helen: [Nods]

Mariner: No. It's better that one of you dies now, then both of you die slow.

Helen: Wait, wait. We saved your life. We got you out.

Mariner: No. You got me out so you could get out. We're even.
