This is the third remake of Perfect Stranger I've seen
In terms of content structure and thematic expression, this Spanish version is basically a replica of the original, but there are still differences in some details. The other French version is simply a pixel-level replica.
The difference in role performance
1. Frankly speaking, I think the roles of Eva and Ana are more suitable for interchange, whether it is from the modeling design or character characterization, or it may be that I am too obsessed with the original version, and I always feel that the role of Ana in the film is more capable. Acting out the hostess's scheming, and Eva's actor is more like a party without underwear.
2. Pepe's actor doesn't act like a gay, not even Antonio. I always feel that I don't interpret that delicate emotion, but I look like a straight man.
3. Alfonso's father role is not stable enough, and it is not as popular as in the original version, and he did not interpret the responsible and responsible father role.
2. Too obvious plot
I have to say that in the Spanish version, there is very little foreshadowing of the plot, and it is even fully shown with the camera lens. For example, Alfonso stared at Eva's earrings and directly asked if Eva had something to say to him. In the original version, the psychological activities of the characters were portrayed through the lens. It is guessed that Alfonso actually knew that Eva had cheated on his friend for a long time. In this version, it is too obvious, and it is completely explained, and some delicate psychological activities of the characters are missing.
For another example, at the beginning of the film, Eduardo touched Eva's earrings when he entered the door, and Eva also threw a very ambiguous look. I'll give it a go, dare I be more obvious...
3. Unexplainable emotional changes
Because of the above two reasons, there is no in-depth portrayal of the psychological activities of the characters, so that as the plot progresses, the changes in everyone's emotions seem inexplicable and even a bit blunt.
Eva was inexplicably crying, Pepe was inexplicably clapping the table, Eduardo was inexplicably jealous, and Blanca was inexplicably angry and suspicious. It's too blunt. If I hadn't read the original version and knew the plot, I wouldn't have the patience to watch it. Basically, I guessed the character settings from the beginning.
Summarize
It's not as good as the original, or even better than the French version. The French version has at least achieved a pixel-level re-engraving, and this version feels like only one structure has been re-engraved.
