There is only one kind of heroism in life, and that is to love life after recognizing the truth of life.

(This article only wants to diss the director, has nothing to do with the plot)

After reading it, the first reaction is that I don't like it, even a little disgusting, but I can't tell where I hate it.

Until I heard a famous quote quoted by a classmate, I suddenly realized that I simply used this sentence as the title.

The entire film describes three kinds of people:

Corrupt, greedy, intriguing government officials;

Unhappy, but insensitive citizens, including the general depiction of the residents of the dilapidated building, and the close-up of the protagonist's mother;

And upright and brave protagonist father and son.

What I find annoying is that the director has been implying (or leading the audience to think so) that the unhappiness of the second type of people is all due to the corruption and darkness of the government, and even their self-indulgent depravity. Their complaints are endless. It is the fruit of the evil deeds of the government.

Certainly it is related. But this expression of government corruption as the culprit of everything sounds like a coward who always makes excuses for himself.

Even if the government is not corrupt, the workers who steal things will still take advantage of the loopholes to steal things, those who use drugs and alcohol will continue to degenerate, the male protagonist and the mother will continue to complain, even if life gets better, there will always be something for her to complain about, yes Bar.

As for the male protagonist's father, even in such an environment of economic decline, if he changes to a wife who is not so resentful, his life will be very happy.

I think this is also the reason why works such as "Modern Times", "City Lights" and "Alive" can be called works of art. In comparison, this film is more like a vent.
