Romeo and Juliet at its best

The most Romeo and Juliet of Romeo and Juliet.

The most touching thing about Romeo and Juliet is the incomparably warm and sincere relationship between them. The two protagonists played are young and full of youthful breath. Juliet played by Hersey is recognized as the most classic Juliet, not because of how happy she is. , but when you see her, you will think of a pure and agile girl, full of exotic customs, she is a noble girl who came out of Verona. Leonard Whiting is a handsome prince. The two of them are new to the screen. Maybe they don't have so many skills, but they have unparalleled passion, which is enough.

There are three scenes that moved me the most in the film. One is when Romeo's friend was stabbed to death by Tibbert and everyone still thought he was joking, and finally accepted his fate and died. One is when Juliet wakes up and touches Romeo's body helplessly, feeling his still warm lips. The last is a belated reconciliation that ultimately trades death.

The movie didn't shoot Paris's death and other scenes. Although the plot seems to be a bit loopy, it made me focus more on the love between two people, the warmest and most beautiful love.

where is my thee?where is my love?does it still exist?oh,my love! Sweeter than honey and bitter as gall, once upon a time young and frivolous~The actors are beautiful and the costumes are gorgeous, but the actors seem to be reciting their lines and not engaging

8.6/10 Be melted by my dear Juliet, captured by the soundtrack, met at the ball and sacrificed to the grave, and your love words.

Romeo and Juliet quotes

  • Juliet: [as her lover Romeo is out of bed] Would thou be gone?

    [sighs]

Juliet: It is not yet near day. It was the nightingale and not the lark that pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear.

  • [first lines]

Narrator: Two households, both alike in dignity In fair Verona where we lay our scene. From ancient grudge break to new mutiny Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life Whose misadventured piteous overthrows do with their deaths bury their parents' strife.
