Just I like it

Don't say that why i'm so into such kind of theme, no reason, just because of the casts, Lynn Chen, Michelle Krusiec, Joan Chen, just because of the Director, Alice Wu and just because of the whole flow of the movie.

Before that, I paid no attention to the Sundance and the Jin Ma Award, all by accidence that I got the track. I like the story, like when vivian and wil so natually but deeply facing their true love and family as well as society, like how cozy when wil and ma have that connection.like the movie bring out the positive stuff that it's never too late to chase your dream. Vivian is definitely so charming as well as so brave to facing her love no doubt that nobody can resist her , while wil is so shy and cute but finally she is no more scare and got what she really what from the bottom of heart. Compare with the other movies, SF is more relaxed and more acceptabl for me to catch. No wonder Alice Wu is such a talent to write out such story and make it come ture.

Some words from Alice Wu during the IFILM:

I just think no matter who you are, whether you are Chinese, whether you are black,
whether you are white, whether you are gay or straight, young or old,
I think that basically everyone wants to love.
And I just think that can start at any point of your life that you wanted to.
I want people to leave the theater feeling that it was really possible, whatever that was,
whether it was that great love they want, or that great job they want,
it isnt too late to go for it.

Sounds so impressive.....

And...umm....Lynn is really the big reason that I want to mention about. She is sort of the typical girll makes you have crash on her. and..this kind of feeling is hard for me to describe into words... but she is really deserved to take the role of Vivian, without her, SF won't be so successful and so interesting. More to tell that she has a band called 'YPOK2', She does vocal, piano and other things,of course she has so many talents.

Michelle is also a big star after all, she got more awards. I still remeber that she said: "whether you are gay or you are too fat or not smart, everyone has a problem, but I think it's important that the movie is suggesting that if you accept each other, no matter what the problem is, that is going to allow you to live the best life you can live"

She played Wil so naturally and so real.

the chemistry between Michelle & Lynn is magical , special and touching.

I don't think SF is going to be half as good or funny if any one of the cast is replaced
by someone else .
Alice is brilliant in the casting process & I am glad everybody recognised that.

The cute talk between wil and vivian:

Wil: So how come we never met before now?

Vivian Shing: We did meet. Nineteen years ago. I was 8, you were 9. Outside the temple.

Wil: I don't remember.

Vivian Shing: The Wong boys were taunting me about my parents' divorce. You beat the crap out of them. You were wearing a Kristy McNichol t-shirt, tan cords and a pageboy. You spilled your mom's groceries. We scooped them into a bag.

Wil: That's right, and then...

Vivian Shing: And then I kissed you on the nose. And you ran.

On the whole, the story covers every kind of relationship stuffs, I do like the perfect ending.
Besides, I love the soundtrack in it including : when wil and vivian have the hotdog by the lake chair , so cozy, when they have intimate moments, , and when vivian teach wil how to fall without hurt, so lovely.

I like Vivian the most. She is so beautiful and lives a frank and open life. I hope everyone will see the open point. Life is short and what I am like. It is just a conversation for others after dinner. They will not really care and boldly do what they want to do. There's nothing to be ashamed of

Ethics and face; the world is unpredictable and the world is getting worse. The ending is still a bit unrealistic. (It is true that Chinese people can meet acquaintances everywhere. ps. The voice of the young man delivering the medicine is really nice.
