The ending of the novel can be altered by the author, but not in life

After watching "Fantastic Pen", I didn't get sucked into the brainstorm by the film's open ending. I found the theme straight from some flashback snippets.

Clearly, this is a love movie. The final narrator in the film, despite his reputation and splendor, cannot restore his lost love. He is divorced, but still wears a wedding ring. He can be favored by many people, but he finally chooses to give up. The author of "the words" may or may not be Cooper's Rory, but that doesn't matter. The important thing is that he lost the love of his life for the sake of writing. Then there is the mysterious old man. When his wife came back to look for him, he left Paris because of the pile of manuscripts. Even if he met again, he could only wave goodbye.

I really like this movie, it's suspense reborn, it's really like listening to someone else's story, always wanting to hear the end. Some plots are on my mind, some are not. Always expecting a reversal, but there is no reversal, I am very worried.

In the end, some choices only get one chance, and when you make a choice, you can't smear or rub it off like writing a book.

The structure is more interesting, layer by layer, the play within the play is more extreme, and the story is a little dull.

Suspense is a little weaker. . The interest in the window tear is far greater than the movie itself = =

The Words quotes

  • Clay Hammond: At some point, you have to choose between life and fiction. The two are very close, but they never actually touch.

  • The Old Man: He should've been somebody everyone knows.

Rory Jansen: Yeah... but what happened?

    The Old Man: Life.
