The movie keeps talking about separation, loss of support, and reunion. Some separations will never see each other again. Maybe every time is a goodbye. Not all Bella, not all partings will meet again. The zookeeper came to the door once, this time with more police. Mom and other veterans refused to take Bella on behalf of their respective units. Mom resisted on the grounds that the hospital was federal property and not the city of Denver. In the end, the police captain revealed that he was also a military veteran and fired him because the animal caretaker received too many reports. Finally added a sentence, all vehicles must give way to dogs.
