I think American comedy movies and comedy TV series are really different. Although they are called "comedy" (comedy), the tone is completely different. There are burdens everywhere in the drama, which makes people hilarious when shaking, but many comedy movies can't find a place to laugh after watching for a long time. At most, they feel warm and have a happy ending. Specific to the movies played by Ms. Fey and Mr. Carell in the past, it is even more like this. Therefore, I have been downloading Date Night for a long time and have not dared to watch it. Of the film. However, after watching it, I felt that I was too worried, this film is really good!
The movie tells about a pair of ordinary office worker couples Phil Foster and Clair Foster (just found out, how do they have the same names as those in the Modern Family~) living a life with no new ideas day after day, repeating at the same time every week Go to the same restaurant and order the same dishes for a date night, until one day their friends Haley and Brad separate, and the two realize the crisis. So on a date that seemed to be the same as before, Phil decided to take Clair to a high-end restaurant in New York City for dinner. Because the appointment was already full, the two of them imposted and went to dinner on impulse, but they didn’t expect to provoke them. It's a scourge!
The burdens in this film are not very fierce. The male and female protagonists are very normal. They seem to be the people we will meet in our lives. They will be nervous and afraid when encountering things. Phil, a man, has to protect his wife. Not afraid, but was frightened and vomited afterwards. Obviously he has been hunted down, Clair, a menopausal woman, still has broken hearts. The bad guys came to the door, and the two of them were still in the mood to quarrel in the street. I look so happy. I think that some jokes can come from a plain life. You don't have to "pave" a stalk or "shake" a burden. Also, seeing Clair's gluttonous appearance that she was going to take away, it reminded me of Miss Lemon. Also, when Clair and Phil break into the enemy and dance the robot dance in front of the big boss, they really think of Miss Lemon and the neurotic Micheal.
I like the feeling between Clair and Phil. Although the old husband and wife are living a boring life day after day, they really care for each other in their hearts and realize that the crisis is not about giving up or fleeing, or "freedom", but Go on supporting each other, so they have the opportunity to witness each other's love at times of crisis in life, how beautiful it is.
