At first, I was attracted by the brightly lit Venice night scene, and then I wanted to see it when Al Pacino's name appeared on the main cast. In fact, I don't know why I thought of "Schindler's List" when the title was not released at the beginning. I probably thought of it when I saw the images of Jews being discriminated against. Khan~Shakespeare's era was still a Christian era after all, and The Nazis were too far away.
But I can't understand why Christians hate Jews so much. Is it not just because of their incompatibility of beliefs, but because of racial discrimination? In the original work, Jewish businessman Sherlock explained why he didn't want to repay the money but wanted the pound of meat. He once said a long line:
To bait fish withal: It's fine to use it
for fishing;
if it will feed nothing else, it will feed my revenge.
Even if his meat is not good, at least he can let out my breath.

Tragic factors aside, not to mention the cruelty of Jewish merchants, not to mention the cleverness of noble ladies, just look at the whole film The gorgeousness of the play.
The masked carnival in the night, the nobles danced with gorgeous masks of different shapes and colors; the young man jumped on the gondola and waited under the lover's window; the nocturne rippling with the evening wind; the music is so beautiful, there is an opera The taste, a charming Venetian style painting.
Maybe the city will gradually sink to the bottom of the sea after many years, but the beautiful memory will never be reduced to dust.
