Downton Abbey movie version. When familiar music, familiar scenery, and familiar characters appear on the screen, it is as cordial as the reunion of old people.
The movie has a happy ending where everyone finds his right place/home. But this time maybe it's time to say goodbye. Granny knew that she was dying soon, and the sentence she said goodbye to Mary: It's time to go... instantly brought tears to my eyes. Granny is like this, sharp words always make people laugh tacitly, but also make people burst into tears at the end.
The sadness didn't last. Mary said: Granny, you will always be with us. You will watch us in every painting, teach us in every book, and you will always be with us. And Granny replied: Oh! Then am I too tired? Just let me sleep in peace forever. Instead of worrying, it is better to seize every little luck. The way Granny looked at Mary and the family at the dance was too tender.
Granny is my favorite character on the show.
Life comes to an end. Granny is Downton's soul, and Mary is Downton's future. No matter the times, Downton will still be standing.
There are always some beliefs that are worth holding on to for a lifetime.
