The absurd nothingness of postmodernist society

Finished the third season of Black Mirror, a little thought

1. s01 and s06 echo well from beginning to end, and the connection is a vicious circle with no end. 06 Starting from the most vulgar topic of cyber violence, hacking the pros and cons of technology, then hacking the government surveillance, ending up in the trial, the trial of mass cyber violence, the boss's trial of the Internet violence crowd, and finally the fake death policewoman's trial of the boss Judgment (attempting to lynch) Who is qualified to have the power to judge, discipline and punish and even decide the life and death of others? To borrow the words of the Bible, "If there is no sin among you, you can stone her first." The tragedy of 01 and 06 seems to have improved, and it seems that a fairer and better world has been created through democracy, where everyone is in control of the judgment. Human power, without verbal violence, all birds and flowers are fragrant, the world has become a huge evaluation system, but it has fallen into hypocrisy.

2. s04 is my personal favorite. It seems like a happy ending, but it is actually full of alienation caused by modern civilization to human beings, the emptiness or absurdity of the technological world, and the loneliness and despair of people. In the end, the cold virtual machine, with its rows of brain interfaces, formed a paradoxical contrast with the carnival of the second heroine's immortal world. Dostoevsky's thesis that "human technology amplifies pain and paralyzes the senses" is the epitome of this episode.

3. The s02 and Inception’s set-in-set feel similar. The logical thinking is not very good. I didn’t understand many points, but for the first time I really felt the terrible thing about the legendary AI and machine learning. Machine learning can invade a person's complete consciousness and cognitive mode in 0.04 seconds and defeat him, and the person who created this system has no way of knowing what happened.

4. The motifs discussed in the entire Black Mirror series are basically the domination of people by technology, and the absurdity and nothingness of postmodern society. This is a relatively big topic and can be discussed for another hundred years. Recalling that the first Black Mirror was a drama in 2011, and technology has made great progress in 9 years, from the oppo flip phone to the iPhone 11, but discussing the weather, discussing the environment, discussing genetic discrimination, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of technology, these are the same as you and me on the whole earth. The questions that matter to him will never be out of date.

Sure enough, the tone changed because of the switch to Netflix? To put it simply, it is not as sharp and dark as the first two seasons. After watching six episodes in one breath, I always feel that it is a little less interesting. There is no single episode that I particularly like. Maybe the warm ending of the fourth episode is rare~ The black woman is so beautiful, I am a little tempted. The ugliness and darkness of this world can’t be counted in six episodes
