Mildly disappointed at Pitch Perfect 2. The film tries to carry over their surprising success of the first film in adopting what is essentially the exact same formula. While there are still some laughs, it isn't nearly as funny or memorable, all the best jokes were in the trailers. The song choices are questionably as well, they should have used more songs that are more recognisable. While most of the time a sappy element added to a comedy can be seen as unnecessary, it is necessary to infuse something meaningful . The film fails to close any of them. However, Anna Kendrick is still amazing.
