This is another movie about the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War, the scars of a generation in the United States, has been repeated by countless movies, and there are many classics, but even among those Vietnam War movies with a special perspective, this movie is still special. In this film, the Vietnam War is just a background, a basis for the beginning of things, the support of development, although it is based on real events. The title of the film is the code name of the bombing operation at the beginning. In this film where the weapon is just a symbol, there is almost no war scene, only the first ten minutes, and the first minute of the film, the only continuous bombing in the whole film. The scene has no obvious connection with the subject, but it is beautiful, and this kind of texture has only been shot by Spielberg before. Abandoning the war itself, it's centered on one character, so it's special, of course, in relation to the autobiographical adaptation.
This is a movie that can give almost full marks to the performance, especially the main character and the two main supporting characters. Christian Bale, to be honest, I'm going to watch this movie entirely because of him, his performance is a coherent performance, and it's layered, so to speak, it's completely Oscar-quality. It's a pity that the two supporting roles don't have a lot of scenes, and they shine infinitely in the only scenes.
The soundtrack, another wonderful place, from the beginning to the end, there are not many scenes in the soundtrack, but every time it appears, it is a direct hit. The soundtrack seems to have a bit of local color. From the perspective of the academy, this soundtrack is perfect.
All in all, this movie is good.
