Kabylia and Maria

Maria, let me change my life!

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom outside the window, and after seeing the spring in the north, I understand the beauty of the recovery of all things-the spring after a desolation is so soft.

I think spring is very suitable for watching some works discussing loneliness. After reading it, go out for a walk. Spring is full of sleeves, and you don't have to be too sad. Last spring was "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and this spring was Fellini's lone trilogy "The Road," "The Liars" and "Nights of Cabiria," and this time I'm going to talk about Cabiria.

Kabylia's appearance is like a farce, she was killed, rescued, woke up, fainted, roared, her way of speaking, gait, and even sharp eyebrows made people think of her as a joke . Just when people almost thought of her as a funny clown, director Fellini said, "My Cabiria has another name - Maria".

Two names, two identities, two demands.

When she was Kabylia, she said, "I don't lack anything, I even have a thermometer.", "What should I ask for? I have everything." She believes that all she has is she. The identity of Kabylia is her protective shell and her thorn, so she can speak ill of those who save her and her friend Wanda who cares about her.

When she told the philanthropist that her name was Maria, she saw her original self, but she hadn't touched it yet. Kabylia only knows that this is not what I want for me. So she prayed to the Virgin Mary to change her life, but she found that it did not change anything, and the awakening became lost. Under hypnosis, Kabylia calls herself Maria a second time. Maria standing on the stage is regarded as a comedy by the audience, and the audience off the stage is also us, laughing at the simplicity of Maria when she longs for love.

There are always people in the world who are happy to tell others what is right, and some people are happy to accept it. Just like in the film, both the hypnotist and the priest said to Kabylia that "girls are going to get married", so the camera looked at Kabylia and Wanda through the barbed wire and said "I'm getting married".

When Kabylia said a lot of self-denial to Oscar "...why are so many people like me", and then she drank water, no matter how rational her mind was, her subconscious actions still told her desire— -Love and be loved.

Sometimes people may not know why they hope for the hard-to-find love to change their lives. Fellini said that "searching for love can make human beings sublime". I think Kabylia would ask "Really?" and Maria would say "I seem to believe it."

Even if it was a love scam, Kabylia was truly warmed by Oscar, and the feeling of loving and being loved really existed. I think Maria would say "then love! Even if it's a hoax, even if there's no love here.".

When the external reality is unsatisfactory, people have to return to themselves and seek redemption from within. For Kabylia, this "in" is Maria.

Only you can truly change yourself.

At the end of the film, Maria is also like the reviving spring outside the window, and the tearful and smiling face makes the heart soften.

I think I was moved not only because of Julieta's big tearful eyes, but also because of the similarities I found with Kabylia. Yi gullible, love pours into his whole heart, and he will still be full of confidence and hope even after the tragedy, just like at the end of the film, there are tears in the crystal eyes of the group dance and joy, but he can still laugh and embrace the world. I seem to understand why my eyes are still quite big. Kabylia is called pure and innocent, and the soul is clear.

To a certain extent, the reasons for liking "La La Lan" are similar. They have both deconstructed the complex core of life in a bright way, and all the sense of tragedy is between concealment and disclosure and can be freely retracted. People at the bottom work hard to build the skeleton of life, and fate turns out to be nothing more than a juggling of empty shells manipulated by society. The heroine is simply amazing.
