A shocking power

A very typical feminist movie, telling the story of a pair of good friends named Selma and Louis traveling together. It was supposed to be a pleasant and enjoyable vacation, but it evolved into the desperate journey of Selma and Louis. The things experienced during the desperate journey changed a little bit for them, and completely liberated the nature of the two. It is more meaningful than any trip. This time, they no longer bow their heads to men and no longer compromise with the world. But in the end, crowds of police cars even sent helicopters to chase and intercept the two. This scene seemed very tragic but extremely ironic, so the last two ended their lives in the most exciting way, which also made the audience remember. This shocking power!

Great shot. Selma is always stupid, deceived, and very realistically portrayed. She is the image of a woman who is often locked at home by her husband and is not allowed to go out and has not seen much of the society, and Louis always tolerates her. There is also the "free pen" of the black rider, which is no less classic than the paper kick ball in Johnnie Du's "Gun Fire"

Different from those so-called feminist films that vilify men and exaggerate the cancer of straight men, I just think the sheriff is the highlight of the film. The tragedy of women is not just the discrimination that society has been subjected to for a long time, but the fact that some people are awakened and unable to do anything. It is worthy of being the most classic female movie.

Thelma & Louise quotes

  • Thelma: Well, I've had it up to my ass with sedate.

  • Max: Uh, yeah, well, if she calls, just be gentle. You know, like, you're really happy to hear from her. Like you really miss her. Women love that shit.
