Believe again, count every step

Bernadette was originally a design genius, but became a housewife after marriage. For nearly 20 years, she had a bad relationship with her neighbors. She was often so anxious that she couldn't sleep well. She used overseas criminal gangs as personal assistants...

Fortunately, she is a successful mother!

She escaped when her husband, who was also an industry genius, and the doctor he hired sent her to a mental hospital! Her daughter felt that when her mother was missing, her father should go all out to find her, but her father felt that they should continue their normal lives.

But the daughter did not give up to go to her mother. For the first time, when she heard that her mother was going to the airport, she decided to go to Bernadette with her father. The second time, when she heard that her mother disappeared again in Antarctica, she firmly opposed her father, thinking that her mother might be much happier than he had guessed!

Reminds me of the blood mother in "Mother Tongue". For her own career, she only contributed her own genes, but did not participate in every step of the child's growth. Of course, she herself has physical reasons. Even if this can be a reason to justify her, it will not be able to overcome the alienation of the child from her after the surrogacy is conceived.

Trust again, count every step of the way.

Only with hindsight did I realize that this was directed by Linklater. I haven't had time to watch the original, but the film's quirky quality is unique, funny, eye-catching and accompanied by dramatic conflict and anger. Two excellent and intelligent people gave up each other in their marriage, and the independent women who became housewives were gradually stifled their creativity, filled with unwillingness and cynicism, and their introverted and socially fearful characters were not understood. Can find relatable points from it. The happy ending is great, I hope everyone finds meaning in family, life and life like Bernadette.

The virtual assistant of the Russian gangster, used up 16 miracles at a time, the old enemies hope to exchange each other's lives, when an artist is not creating, she/he is a serious social hidden danger...I heard Cyndy Lauper's "Time after Time" again , contemporary elite marriage parent-child fairy tale, very good

Where'd You Go, Bernadette quotes

  • Bernadette: I just need you to know how hard it is for me sometimes.

    Bee Branch: What's hard?

Bernadette: The banality of life. But I retail the right to be incredibly moved by those little things no one notices. For better and worse.

  • Bernadette: I'll figure it out. I mean, that's what insomnia is for.
