A Short Review of "Peninsula"

The second episode is a completely different style and a completely different story. It is an indisputable fact that the first episode is not as good as the first episode, but at least it is greatly doubled in terms of entertainment. Director Yeon Sang-ho has proved that he is the best director of this subject in Korea today. The director of the genre film does not even shy away from his love for "Crazy Max". Many car chase scenes and apocalyptic world settings in the film all have the shadow of Mad Max. In the car scene, the budget is not as good as that of Hollywood. Fortunately, Director Hao made all the scenes that used special effects to be like a video game. In short, it was a low-profile version of Crazy Max, and the rest was supplemented with sound effects to make it as cool as Hollywood. In the first episode, it is convenient to stack the relationship between characters in a closed space, and finally the emotions and humanity of the characters are brought out. The second episode is set in an open space, and the director of character relationship construction almost completely gave up. To restore the touching parting scene at the end of the first episode, in fact, the previous character construction has been abandoned, and there is no need to impose a sensational card at the end. To be honest, but it is obviously done for commercial reasons. On the one hand, it is also telling the audience that this is a Korean movie, which is sensational It's an element that we have, three stars overall, but in this difficult time, add an extra 0.5 star to thank the birth of this movie.

It does have a bit of the feel of the zombie version of "Mad Max". From a genre point of view, it's pretty well done. The action scenes have been upgraded, and the use of lighting is also a highlight. The shortcoming is that zombies are basically reduced to type elements such as roadblocks, and the sense of horror is greatly reduced. PS: A movie that justifies the name of female drivers.
