What touched me in the story was not their thrilling and laughable car theft process, but the old man who helped people open the door every day. He has worked in the highest-end buildings in New York for 29 years, for 29 years, doing the same thing every moment of every day. Open the door, close the door, and give people a smile. What is tragic is not that he only saved 70,000 US dollars after working for many years, but that his work is simply unnecessary. Because people can open the door by themselves... Hearing this, an inexplicable bitterness always comes to mind.
There are several other things that I don’t understand: 1. Why does the rich man put such an important account book in that car? Wouldn't it be easy to find out just by searching that car? 2. Why do a few ordinary office workers (except the black thief) instantly turn into thieves at critical moments, so they are so wise and brave?
Third, why did the male lead give everyone’s pension to a Wall Street investor without everyone’s permission or even without telling everyone?
