let it go or not? - Commentary on "Fate," and "Sweet Home in Alabama"

Recently, I watched a series of romantic dramas, such as "Fate is Destined", "Sweet Home in Alabama", etc. The protagonists break away from the existing life at the critical moment to pursue the attachment in their hearts. Strangely, I found that I was not moved by the pursuit and persistence, although I am a person who is easily moved.

Why cling to the past? The reason is very simple, because reality is always unsatisfactory, and romance can only be slightly released in people's affection. It's just that I'm always puzzled, how can the attachment to the past explain the present? You have chosen to abandon the present and embrace the past to find the past. For the present person or event, have you considered the existence of harm and regret in the future?

Because most of the protagonists in these films are not dissatisfied with the status quo, but only have dissatisfaction with the past in their hearts, they have made the choice to abandon the present and pursue the past, why bother?

The Buddha said, "I don't think about the past, I don't think about the future, I am only born between one breath and one breath." Isn't living in the present the most important thing? Now that you have decided to hold hands with your current lover, why not hesitate to take the person in front of you? If you are persistent, you should practice it long ago, instead of waiting for a new moment and a new life in front of you.

Let it go or not, it is a question, for the protagonists of these films and the audience who are moved by them, and for those of us who cherish our eyes and live in the moment!
