The name is good - Five Feet Apart, also translated well - Five Feet Tianya. The name makes you question from the very beginning: Why is it five feet? What powerful thing can make people voluntarily keep their distance? Can they succeed in breaking this bond later?
Fortunately, the movie explains it very clearly. Cystic Fibrosis, it turns out that there is such a disease in the world.
However, there are still many points to complain about. The character portrayal is not delicate enough (especially the male protagonist), which sometimes causes the characters to behave inexplicably because of lack of motivation.
The second point is that the plot is ordinary and cliché. Oh my god, the front is fine, but in the second half of the episode, I suddenly started sprinkling dog blood without money. In the last episode, the heroine would rather die than run out of the hospital to see the lights and refuse to accept the lung source. As a result, she fell into the lake. What kind of elementary school student is this? Youth sadomasochism (of course, the movie also emphasized several times in the follow-up that the male and female protagonists are only 17 years old, fine).
Also, the editing is a bit laggy, the timing is not handled well, and the soundtrack is used too much. It might be better to add the heroine's cry/wheeze when the hero is saying goodbye, but unfortunately the heroine is muted. now...
Although, I still cried when the lights came on, woo woo woo... I still have a girlish heart.
This scene is actually quite poignant.
The male protagonist is really fucking handsome.
