It's like a mop. If you don't use the right force, it won't be clean no matter how you mop.

The mop is good. I saw advertisements on TV shopping when I was young and I was very impressed.
But the movie is really bad, just like a mop. If you don't use the right force, it won't be clean no matter how you mop. The director focused his efforts on showing the little characters to interpret the legendary counterattack life, but the result was taken for granted. Contradictions and conflicts are deliberate, key nodes are too random, the relationship between the characters is very carefree, and the ending is too easy to reverse.
Three such good protagonists can't use it, except for Lawrence's excessive force, the other two failed to play.
PS Bradley is aging too fast to be handsome anymore.

7.7 It may be that expectations are too low, and the result is unexpectedly good-looking. I like DOR's approach to this subject matter. This is a dark side American dream story starting from all the opposite sides of the American dream, even if the film is forced to cut a main theme. It’s easy to notice the darkness of the ending, and you can imagine what the original dark version looked like. The big cousin's performance on the big screen is really pleasing to the eye.

Joy quotes

  • Joy: [at her mother's deathbed] I so hated to leave her that day. I had so much I wanted to say to her... and to my great-granddaughter. I felt I wanted to stay near her and watch over her.

  • Cristy 5 Years Old: Mimi said that you were the one born to help carry us on to success.

Joy: No, Christie, Mimi was wrong. The world does not *give* you opportunities, the world destroys the opportunities. It breaks the heart. I should have listened to my mother, when I was 10 years old. I should have spent the rest of my life watching TV and hiding from the world like my mother. So I don't want to hear anymore about Mimi. She was wrong, she had her head in the clouds, and it was full of stupid ideas, and it gave me stupid ideas. But this?

    [picks up a mop]

    Joy: This stupid, stupid idea!

    [throws the mop down]
