Role: Director, screenwriter
Born in France in 1907, Robert Bresson was originally a painter. In 1933, he entered the film industry under the recommendation of director Renaclay. After the outbreak of the Second World War, he was imprisoned in a German concentration camp, where he met Bishop Brickberger. After leaving the camp, he was accepted by Brickberger. Entrusted by Bishop Jie, to shoot a feature film [Sinful Angel] with the background of the Bedani Sisters, this is his first feature film, and since then he has established his film style with philosophical and Catholic ideas as the theme . Robert Bresson is an aloof film writer. Although his works are not many, each of them is a masterpiece. He is also a frequent visitor to the film festival. Important awards records include: [The Diary of a Village Priest], which won the International Award at the Venice Film Festival; [The Trial of Joan of Arc], which won the Special Censor Award at the Cannes Film Festival; and [The Life of a Donkey], which won the Special Censor Award at the Venice Film Festival. 】Wait.
