The storm should be stronger

I once liked watching war movies.
But now, I hate seeing beautiful things being torn apart in front of my eyes, so I only look for them when I need a little touch and a little reflection.

As far as this movie is concerned, what is most impressive should be a letter from the lovely colonel. A man who maintains such a pure and noble ideal in war is undoubtedly cute. Bruderick's little goatee interprets this role well-childish and determined. He also had a very idealistic death, and he jumped from the trench, and death became the best call.
Denzel Washington looks very handsome in this film^_^ Relative to himI don’t know how sharp the image in China is (from 1989 to 2004, the power of the years can be seen). This handsome guy is very representative of the confusion that pervades the black brothers. In this war, the blacks are facing the battlefield and psychological transformation outside the battlefield. They are sharp, sharp but weak in their hearts. When he suffers the caning heavily, his unyielding eyes and trembling lips outline the perfect line of a man. This movie made me like him even more.
Morgan Freeman, as he said, is always a symbol of a mature man, with his individual voice.
There is also a weak-literate black GG. I don't know which actor it is. Wrapped in a blanket on Christmas Eve, he greets him to the colonel, and his eyes are contemplative for a moment.

All in all, for a war film, there is too much idealism.

Edward Zwick’s work tells the story of a black army during the Civil War. Although it is an obvious American theme, almost all characters are portrayed in the film, and the process of mutual understanding between black soldiers and white officers is enthusiastic and touching. The final battle is Zwick's masterpiece.

Glory quotes

  • Major Forbes: [as Col. Shaw is writing, Maj. Forbes approaches him with a letter from President Lincoln] They've done it.

Colonel Robert G. Shaw: [Shaw reads the letter] Assemble the men.

[54th is in formation in the pouring rain in the Camp Readville common area]

Colonel Robert G. Shaw: In accordance with President Lincoln's wishes, you men are advised that the Confederate Congress has issued a proclamation. It reads: 'Any negro taken in arms against the Confederacy will immediately be returned to a state of slavery. Any negro taken in Federal uniform will be summarily put to death. Any white officer taken in command of negro troops shall be deemed as inciting servile insurrection and shall likewise be put to death.' Full discharges will be granted in the morning to all those who apply. Dismissed.

Colonel Robert G. Shaw: [turning to Forbes after dismissal of troops] If you're not here in the morning, I'll understand.

Trip: [turns to Sharts] Still want that blue suit, nigger?

  • [Rawlins interposes himself between Trip and the 10th Connecticut soldiers]

10th Connecticut soldier: Stripes on a nigger... that's like tits on a bull!

    [the Connecticut soldiers laugh]

John Rawlins: You're looking at a higher rank, Corporal. Now you'll obey, and you'll like it!

10th Connecticut soldier: [sneers] Make me.
