A teenage girl's sexual awakening and the road to sexual growth

I don't know much about the director and the actors, so I'll just briefly talk about my feelings after watching "The Beauty of Flowers". 17-year-old Isabel dedicated her first date to a handsome German boy her age before her 17th birthday, but she broke up with him after the first date. After that, she began to explore her own sexual desire and self-seeking path, but this path is "prostitution" that does not meet secular requirements and is deviant. She is not for money or love, Isabel herself said in the film, she just likes the unknown every time she opens the door, maybe she likes adventure, just like she hates the routine and clichéd life. But among the many clients, the elderly George is a special one. He gave Isabel a gentle caress. He did not use Isabel to satisfy his own desires like other clients. Instead, he treated Isabel as an equal and gave her respect and care. Afterwards, George died during sex with Isabel. The cause of death was probably a myocardial infarction. After Isabel reacted, he gave George artificial respiration. When he found that he had no hope of surviving, he fled. After the police came to the door, Isabel's prostitution was revealed, and Isa did not continue to do it under the control of her mother. But she later said in a conversation with a psychologist that George's death made her realize she was dirty because she thought she had killed him. It should be pointed out here that Isa does not feel that "prostitution" is dirty, but that she feels guilty for having sex with George and killing George, and she feels very guilty for it. After George's death, Isa briefly falls in love with her classmates, as if life is on track, but soon discovers that she doesn't love her classmates at all. So she went back to her old business, and this time the person who asked her out was George's wife. The two returned to the room 6095 where Isa had sex with George, and lay on the bed together. At the end of the film, Isa suddenly woke up and found that she was still in this room, and George's wife was nowhere to be seen. Isabelle showed a frank but relieved smile...

I thought that the director wanted to challenge the secular rules and regulations through sex, and there was a kind of rebellion in it. Youth itself means infinite possibilities and huge destructive power, and the world of adults is full of discord, emptiness, and mischief, which "I" disdain and tire of. Therefore, "I" do not want to obey the secular dogma to experience life or explore myself, but to experience sex and freedom in a way that transcends the norm. At the same time, the film also reflects women's perspective and awareness of women's rights. It compares the selfishness and childishness of boys towards girls and the respect and consideration of old men towards women. Isa's choice is the latter, which also shows that women also hope to be equal in sex. , respected, considerate and loved. In the end, by returning to room 6095, Isa seemed to have completed a self-redemption, and it was like a confession to George. When she reconciled with herself and with George and George's wife, she also grew up and was able to let go of past regrets and self-blame and have the courage to start a new life. Life is bound to make mistakes, and even make mistakes over and over again, but no matter what, we must have the courage to start over.
